Paris, sisterhood and new experiences. The beginning of our trip began with many threats – a strike by French Air traffic controllers, a strike by taxis in Paris and a country wide heat wave. There could not have been a less auspicious start to our holiday abroad!
So I got a little informed. I spent just a bit of energy looking into the history of summer strikes by french workers,my air carriers blog and I asked a local airport employee for some aafe advise. She said to make sure you stay flexible and have some extra cash in case you need to stay over a extra days.
And tha’s it! I gave my energy sparingly to the provlems that MAY happenand invested the bulk of my time and attention to seeing my journey unfolding with ease and grace.
And then the little miracles started began to sprout. The strike, after being called into action the 1 day before my flight, was called off the very next day!
We win the TSA lottery and were selected to be Pre-Checked so we kept our shoes and shirts on going thru security the day of the flight!
We arrived at CDA @ 6:30 am Paris time. Upon arriving we changed oir clothes and examined our transportation options. Because we were slated to check-in no earlier than 2pm we took oir rime getting our bearings and learning new thing even though we had basically been up for about 24 hours!
