Moody Blues Exhibition at PBO Gallery of Arts
My current 2026 Spring-Summer watercolor exhibition strives to reach into the heart of things. While these framed original paintings depict a variety of subject matter they are joined together by the quality of light in each composition and a variety of blue hues. I hope the final result will be an emotional connection for the viewer.
I hope you will make time to come downtown and experience these original watercolors in our artist owned art gallery at 44a Hillsboro Street.
Gallery Hours:
Tuesday thru Saturday 10:30 am- 5:30 pm/
Sundays 12-4pm /
Open late on third Friday’s from 5:30 pm-8:30 pm

Chrysalis
Chrysalis – A new series of Ceramic Garden Sculptures
As a watercolor artist, I must plan carefully each painting before execution. In my ceramic work I enjoy the immediacy of working with my hands directly in clay. These works are an exploration around the idea of transformation. By working intuitively, I am giving way to the planning self and welcoming that which wants to be created.
I am intentionally forming a Chrysalis – a thing found in nature that metaphorically and metabolically holds that we are here on earth specifically to evolve. Beginning at the wheel I make a series of closed and open forms which I then alter. They are then completed using a limited palette of both glazes and oxides.
These artworks explore how we, intentionally or unintentionally, are always building circumstances for our own evolution. To become different – to transform, we must agree to let go of, or die to, old ways of being. I am tactically invested in life’s subtler influences of will power, present time awareness, joy, and intuition as I welcome that which wants to be born of clay.
Thank you for all the kind interest in my work.
